Hi there – I’m trying to put in a series of links on a page of my self-hosted wordpress site. I’ve had no problems with this in the past but suddenly when I enter a link (ie external-site.com) using the ‘Insert/edit link’ button it comes out in the finished page to be this:

    mysite.com/external-site.com

Which obviously references a page that doesn’t exist. When I go to edit the url again it looks as it should – ie external-site.com – but on my site it converts to the mysite prefix.

I’ve checked and this isn’t just happening with one page, it’s the same if I try to create a link on any, including a new post on the front page. What did I do?

    All help appreciated,

    Andy (:

Is this so simple no-one can be bothered to respond?

Anyway, solved this – links have to have the https:// bit in front when you enter them, otherwise apparently they come up as described above.
