MAMP Pro 2.2 and live to local problems
-
Hi. I developed a wordpress website some time ago and now I need to do some changes. In the meantime I began using MAMP Pro 2.2 and wanted to use it to host the website locally, make the changes and then upload the final version again.
When I first used MAMP Pro I created a clean install for a wordpress website, let’s call it web-a.com, and it worked fine. Now, when I downloaded the files from the website I need to change, web-b.com, I ran into some problems. I set up the local version as web-b.dev and when I access it on the browser, just typing https://web-b.dev it displays the correct page. However, when I try to connect to https://web-b.dev/wp-admin, it redirects to the live version and I have no idea why. I’ve scoured the forums for answers and even tried adapting from what info I found, but nothing.
I’m using MAMP Pro 2.2, OSX 10.9 and wordpress 3.8. Can anyone give me a hint on this? Any help would be extremely appreciated. Thanks.
