Hide posts from subcats on the parent cat page

    Searched far and wide and failed to find a solution. I need to hide the posts (post excerpts, to be precise) from subcats on their parent category page. I am no programmer but can follow instructions. Anyways, any piece of advice will be greatly appreciated.
