    hi!

    i updated my website from an older version to the latest.
    yesterday everythings seems fine, but today i updated one more plugins and the NGG stop working, reporting me :

    “Gallery not found. Please check your settings.”

    i search for some solutions, but i don’t know exactly what to do…i deactivate others plugin (the one i’ve updated today) but NGG still not working.

    my problem also is i have to incorporate in my header, not using the normal shortcode but using this formula

    <?php
    echo ‘<div id=”headerSlider”>’;
    echo do_shortcode(‘[ngg_images gallery_ids=”13″ display_type=”photocrati-nextgen_basic_slideshow” gallery_width=”903″ gallery_height=”300″ cycle_interval=”4″ ]’);
    echo ‘</div>’;
    ?>

    unfortunately i don’t have yet all the information and all the necessary credentials to verify :/ but

    – WordPress up to date? yes
    – NextGEN up to date? yes
    – What version of NextGEN Gallery did you upgrade from? – don’t know, but a versione 1 year earlier (at least)

    (please confirm the following, with your server host tech) :
    – MySQL up to date? 5.0.92-enterprise-gpl-log
    – PHP up to date (at least 5.0)? – don’t kwow
    – The mod_rewrite Apache module activated? Yes
    – PHP Safe Mode OFF? – don’t know

    someone could help me?
    (i see many users had the same problem, but deactivating others plugin not solved…)

    My galleries are also all gone as of the last update. Additionally, it says there are 3 galleries when I go into “Manage Galleries” but none are shown.

    Please help.

    @niura – A lot of the information you are looking for can be found under Gallery > Overview … in the right sidebar.

    The “up to date” information would be better delivered as the version number rather than “yes”.

    Thanks!

    – Cais.

    I’ve got a similar issue. For a web site that i’ve different domain in same WP installation, in the primary domain portaledivenezia.it i see it, but in a secondary one carnivalofvenice.com. i receive the same error message. I’ve tested both via do_sortcode and also creating a widget area.
    I’ve tested with the last version, then downgraded but problem persist.
    i’ve recently updated from Mysql 5.0x to 5.1 but i don’t think this will impact.
    All other plugins are updated.

    With downgrade to 2.0.31 receive this error:

    array(1) { [“display_type”]=> array(1) { [0]=> string(20) “Invalid display type” } } Invalid Displayed Gallery

    My galleries also disappeared from the website. Please help.

    Hello im have this problem: “no images were found”

    same here, gallery is gone from the front end site. in the Gallery > Overview (in the back end), it lists my galleries and images. but in the Gallery > Manage Galleries , there is nothing there.
    this site has bbpress, along with other plugins 18 plugin.

    i have a site NOT effected with the gallery still there, it does NOT have bbpress, it does NOT have easy media gallery. has about 10 plugins. it’s probably most helpful to list the plug ins in the failing site.

    in the failed nextgen site i have
    NextGEN Gallery by Photocrati – Version 2.0.46
    Wordpress – 3.8
    bbPress – Version 2.5.3
    Easy Media Gallery – Version 1.2.29 is also activated
    Add Link to Facebook – Version 1.196
    Akismet – Version 2.5.9
    All in one Favicon –
    Better WP Security
    Counterize
    Fast Secure Contact Form
    Footer Putter
    GD bbPress Attachments
    Leaflet Maps Marker
    Limit Login Attempts
    MyGeoPosition.com Geotagging: Geotags
    NextGEN Gallery by Photocrati
    oEmbed HTML5 Audio
    Social Login
    WordPress SEO
    WP Wunderground

    I fixed my galleries. I don’t know if this was the problem, but I also had version 2.0.46 of NextGen Gallery plugin installed. But if you go to the WordPress download page of the plugin (https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/nextgen-gallery/), it seems like they downgraded their version to version 2.0.40.

    I replaced v 2.0.46 by v2.0.40 and my galleries re-appeared after a few browser refresh.

    Hope it’ll help others.

    We did release version 2.0.46 and realized within minutes there could be an issue, we immediately reverted back to version 2.0.40.

    For those affected by the “missing galleries” issue in 2.0.46, you can go under Gallery > Other Options > Reset Options … click the Reset button; wait for the page to refresh and click the Save button.

    Next, enter your domain followed by /?ngg_flush=1 to clear all the NextGEN caches (e.g.: https://example.com/?ngg_flush=1).

    This has worked in all cases we have seen so far … if you are unsuccessful please submit a Bug Report (https://www.nextgen-gallery.com/report-bug/) with your site details and the specifics of this issue.

    Thanks!

    – Cais.

    You should have posted this solution before. Many people, including me, have had this ‘images not found’ issue, posting on many threads, without finding any solution.

    (@photocrati)

    @sublimedigital – This is a very specific solution for a very specific set of circumstances, I only noted it here due to you noting you were using version 2.0.46 otherwise this solution would not apply as the Reset functionality was only re-introduced with this release.

    Thanks for the reminder … I will post a sticky topic for reference shortly.

    – Cais.

    NEW method did NOT work for me. i followed photocrati above instructions EXACTLY. still no galleries. will file a bug report as he suggests.

    I have the same problem (“Gallery not found. Please check your settings.”).
    And the drop-down menu in the “Gallery settings” empty.
