  • 1. Actually there is no site at milf-a-week.com. Nothing. Empty. Not even an index file…

    2. It is easy to move WP up to the root from the “wordpress” folder where is now – but I’ll wait with my answer until you figure out where your porno site is ??

well the site is the blog, thats what I want the site to be.

have I earned your answer yet?

There’s two possible ways to do this:

    1. Forward vistors to the wordpress directory.
    2. Move the entire blog to the root directory.

#1 is easy, just use an .htaccess with a redirect.

#2 is less easy. You need to change the blog URI in WordPress, then manually move all the files up a directory on your site.

Which would you prefer to do?

I have just built milf-a-week.com (sorry if you are offended by online pornography).

Even if I am not a native English-speaker the phrase “just built” for me has the meaning that there IS an existing site (and was looking forward for some good porno stuff, LOL), but there is no site built. You didn’t bild anything.
You just have a domain name hosted and no site built.
    Do you agree?

    to otto, number 1 please

to moshu, yes I do apologise lol no site built ??

#2 is not difficult either. Just follow this step by step:

    1. go into admin > Options and change the two URI values to https://www.milf-a-week.com
    2. Save options > it gives you a 404 error but do not worry
    3. Do NOT try to see your site in a browser!!!
    4. Move all the files (NOT the folder) from “wordpress” to the root of your site – by using FTP
    4. Done.
    5. Now you can admire your blog ??

Hey thanks Moshu, what about the folders inside wordpress for example wp-admin, wp-content, wp-includes, do they go too?

Yes, you would want to move everything inside /wordpress/ up one directory. Files, folders, everything. But change those URI’s first! And don’t get them wrong either. That would be bad.

What I dont get however is that it works in i.e. and firefox, but not opera! Is the blog not compatible with opera?

Should work fine in any browser that supports standards. Your page validates okay.

    What exactly happens in Opera?

I just checked it in Opera 7, 8 &9. Came up fine in all three.

(by the way, Matt, it’s “Lo and Behold!” not “Low and Behold!” “Lo” is actually the truncated version of an old English word, “loken”, which means “to look”.)

Edit: Man, I know a lot of stupid trivia things.
