Small Thumbnails / Images Not Compressing

Issue: The theme I am using, Sahifa, has some small and non typical image sizes. For some reason, EWWW is not able to optimize them. As a result, my PageInsights rating on google is going down because it thinks these images should be losslessly compressed. By observation, they do look really large and they should compress.

As you can see, the first image (turducken) is listed as capable of a 97% reduction. That image is here: Turducken

Please help! This is really killing my google PageSights and slowing down the site a lot. This theme uses these thumbnails everywhere and I’m way overserving. I mean its often 60kb images for something that’s 55×55 pixels, it makes no sense!
