NGFB Open Graph Plugin Breaks Biographia Twitter Links
-
You’ve already addressed this in part over in this other thread, but I’ve found the same thing happening with another SEO plugin. Specifically, the plugin NextGEN Facebook Open Graph+ borks the Twitter link in the bio.
With NGFB OpenGraph+ on, making an entry of any kind in the Twitter field gets you the error message:
There is a problem with 1 of this user’s contact links! The Twitter URL doesn’t look right; it should look something like https://twitter.com/chris
Scroll down to the actual field, and you find it populated thusly:
@httpwwwtwitterc
On the front end, the URL for the Twitter link will be that, trailing the full domain and page address, as with this post on my own site.
https://www.godlessperverts.com/atheism-is-not-a-luxury-a-letter-to-chris-arnade/@httpwwwtwitterc
For now, this isn’t an urgent issue for me. I’m disconnecting NGFB Open Graph+ until a later time. However, you’ve done an exceptional job of making a highly-functional plugin and supporting it with lots of documentation, so I thought that this might be helpful.
For the record, I’m running a self-hosted install of WP 3.8. The theme is a child of iFeature Pro 5. As per your request, here’s the options info from the Colophon:
