Drop down menus, add media and other buttons don't work

  • Hello,
    until yesterday i was trying to know how to put thumbnails and same little information when i was sharing my site on facebook.I downloaded plugins in order to do that but then stoped working all the drop down menus and in my site and in the wordpress that i am making the site.Also the add media doesn do anything when i click on it and when i pass through the left menus in wordpress with the mouse there are not drop down menus for example in appearance or settings.
    If you can help me please i don t know that to do!! thank you!!

  • Probably one of your plugins has a javascript error. That will prevent the other javascript dependent elements on the page from functioning properly (pop-out menus, sliding help panel, etc.)

    Try disabling ALL (yes all) of your plugins.. and see if the problem goes away. If so, begin re-enabling your plugins a few at a time.. until the problem presents itself again.

    Keep bouncing back and forth, until you find the plugin which is causing the issue.

    I found that the plugin ‘Contact Form Intregrated With Google Maps’ was the problem. Now i should find another plugin for my contact form!
    I have two other questions if you can help me.can i ask here or make another post?

    Great!! It’s a good lesson for you to learn! You should try to get in the habit of fully testing a plugin before assuming it works 100%. Sometimes, plugins will result in javascript errors (either poorly or inadequately developed; our plain outdated). You should always try to use plugins that are rated for the most current version of WordPress.

    That plugin, Contact Form with Google Maps, is rated for WordPress version 3.5.2. We are currently on version 3.8.1. Quite a lot has changed. Try to find a contact form plugin that is developed to work on the most recent version of WordPress. You’ll have way less headaches down the road!!

    Hi Guys,

    I deactivated all of the plugins, but nothing happend.
    Talk with my host (Ipage) customer support and the theme’s (Mr tailor theme) support, too. The theme support told me this is not a theme issue.
    The support team of my host really hasn’t do anything. :/
