If you set up a news.publishes Open Graph action for an Open Graph article object you can edit your story view in your Facebook app settings.

If i try and create a “publish article” story i get an error saying: “Restricted custom action
A custom publish action is restricted. Please use the common publish action instead.” (see: https://cl.ly/image/0Z3Z1J3X443e)

I’m a bit confused as to what i’m doing wrong…

Marked as unresolved, as i can’t actually edit a story (see previous post)

can anyone help me on this? i’m at a loss as to what to do… should i create a new action type to duplicate publish? or am i missing something obvious.

@niall, if I understand you right i should be able to create a story for the publish / article action / object pair, but it won’t let me do this as it is restricted.
