• Hey all,

I’m migrating a site to a Godaddy hosting account and I keep running into an issue that, maybe, involves the fact that I, via Better WP Security, renamed the “wp-content” folder to just “content” for security purposes (by the way, I’ve done this on numerous sites that were migrated to other hosts with no problems).

The crux of the issue is that many resources for various plugins (images, javascript files, etc.) are getting erroneous paths that seem to include some amount of the WP_CONTENT_DIR path, or document root.

For example, the correct path to the FancyBox javascript file on my staging server is…
    /content/plugins/easy-fancybox/fancybox/jquery.fancybox-1.3.6.pack.css?ver=1.5.6

The incorrect path to the same resource on the Godaddy server is…
    /content/plugins/home/content/62/12077062/html/content/plugins/easy-fancybox/fancybox/jquery.fancybox-1.3.6.pack.css?ver=1.5.6

For whatever reason, a chunk of the server’s document root (/home/content/62/12077062/html/) and a reiteration of the plugins folder path (/content/plugins) is being amended to various plugin resources.

Migrating this site numerous times in various ways fixes nothing. Nor does reinstalling Better WP Security, or any other plugin that displays these faulty paths.

    Anybody got some suggestions?

    Thanks!
