Blog Question

I am really confused with my blog, I have this theme and when you go to the blog page there are “Open Post” “Close Post” buttons there. I want the blog (posts) to be fully open, I looked and there are no settings for this in the theme. Is there a way to create a template or plug in to over ride this template but still keep the style. I have already contacted the place where I bought the template from and am not getting a response. Any help would be appreciated.
