I have just edit one of my prettylink, then when I want to use the old slug, it said the slug already taken, how to delete the slug so that I can use to redirect a new post?

for example: initially i have: example.com/abc redirect to abc.com
    then I edit example.com/abc to example/abc1

Then when I want to create example.com/abc redirect to another page, i.e xyz.com, then there is a message slug already taken.

Hence, how to delete my old example.com/abc so that I can create a new example.com/abc to redirect to xyz.com?

    I m using pretty link lite version…

    Thank you

Make sure no pages/posts/tags/categories/custom post types/custom taxonomies/media attchments/ etc are using that same slug. WordPress reserves slugs for all of those things, so if one of them has the “abc” slug, you cannot use it in a pretty link as it will create a conflict.

I don’t consider this “resolved”, as in my case, there ARE no pages/posts/tags/categories that are using that slug.

Thanks for the answer and I don’t think it resolved my case. No problem, I think the only solution to edit the slug is upgrade to pro version.
