Different notification mail per category

I use the plugin Subscribe2 to notify my subscribers of a new post on my blog. I want to distinct the notification mail for the different categories, but in Subscribe2 there’s only one template possible. Is there an API available to achieve this? Or does anybody know another plugin that can do this out of the box?
