  • Very curious to know the answer to this as well please.

    I tried the beta version listed on their website (which usually works during these transition periods of a new WordPress release) – but it’s not yet working either. It’s actually showing the same version number as the current production version.

    I have written to Qian Qin but I didn’t receive an answer. I’m considering to donate something to see if this is a way to move the plugin.

    I am using qTranslate plugin( version 2.5.38 ) in wordpress site( version 3.8 ) and when i logged in today i received this message on my dashboard

    “The qTranslate Editor has disabled itself because it hasn’t been tested with your WordPress version yet. This is done to prevent WordPress from malfunctioning. You can reenable it by clicking here (may cause data loss! Use at own risk!). To remove this message permanently, please update qTranslate to the corresponding version.”

    After that I found out that this plugin version is not compatible with current version of my wordpress.

    If anyone has a solution to fix this issue and can suggest me how to make both these versions compatible please let me and all others also who are facing the same problem.

    Thanks vokopeti, it’s seems to be a partial solution to the problem there, I posted in the other forum my opinion.

    I ve used the solution above several times without problems, but usualy after a month or so the developer release a new version. But now we have 2 new wordpress release without any qtranslate having today upgrade to the 3.8.1. The plugin seems work ok but this is just temporary solution as some other guy said before.

    Just replace in qtranslator.php – line 90 this:
    define('QT_SUPPORTED_WP_VERSION', '3.8);
    on this
    define('QT_SUPPORTED_WP_VERSION', $wp_version);
    where $wp_version get actual installed wordpress version.
