• Hi!

I need to modify theme which uses a lot of custom files and custom subdirectories, for example, it has a subfolder ‘mobile’, which contains all files that load when site is accessed from mobile device.

Is there a way to modify files in this subfolder using Child theme? there are files like header.php, style.css, footer.php and own functions.php, but they don’t have anything linked to root folder of theme.

  • What theme are you using? Where did you download it from?

    Hi esmi!

Nice to see you again! I bought it here

It is totally not prepared for modifying and new versions are released every week ??

I’m sorry but as you appear to be using a commercial theme, you need to seek support from the theme’s developer/vendor. We do not support commercial products here.

Thanks for replay. I told which theme I am using because you asked, that doesn’t mean I need a support for it.

I have a general question about all themes which have subfolders. So is there a method for modifying files which are located in parent theme subfolders? Like not theme specific, but some general method?

PS. They don’t replay to my questions in forum.

is there a method for modifying files which are located in parent theme subfolders?

It is completely dependant upon the theme in question,

    okay, thanks!

I don’t want to create new topic, because next question is very similar.

Is there a method to override functions in parent theme even if they don’t start with if (function_exists('blaa_blaa')) {... ?
