Cannot view images directly?

Hi Donncha / automattic,

I have WP Super Caches installed on a site of mine which is working perfectly. However, I am unable to view images by using their direct link – e.g. https://www.domain.com/wp-content/uploads/imagename.jpg – instead, it directs me to the home page.

What do I need to edit either in the plugin settings or .htaccess file in order to allow direct links to images?? I need this to work, namely for Facebook sharing purposes, but would like it to work regardless.

Note: Please also state if this will affect the way images are cached.
