@esmi: Thanks. I’ll try calling the folks at Arvixe again. See if I get a tech who can explain the process a little better. Cheers!

Evidently, Arvixe keeps WP software on their server, so all that needs to be transferred is the content, which is done thru the import/export functions.

They update the WP software at their end, so I don’t need to download WP software at all.
