• I installed All in One SEO on my recently launched site.

    When I look at the source code on a page on my site, I can see that the plugin is using the description, like so:

    <meta name=”description” content=”Illustration of two young women shopping” />

    However when I try searching for the specific post on Google, this is the result:

    >>Charlene Chua is an award winning illustrator. She works mostly in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Check out her illustration portfolios, or see her children’s ..

    The >> portion is where the description is supposed to go, since when I look at the plugin on the post itself, it uses what I input into the description field.

    Google is using the description I wrote for the Mainpage on all pages it seems.

    I am not sure if this is because there is something wrong with the plugin? Or whether there is something wrong with the way Google itself is reading my site?

    Hi sygnin,

    All in One SEO Pack appears to be working just fine. Just because you set a title tag or meta description does not necessarily mean that Google has crawled your site recently and picked up the change. I checked and Google last updated their index for that page on January 19th. You can resubmit that page to Google using Google Webmaster Tools or this link here https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/submit-url but that doesn’t guarantee that they’ll update their index for that page immediately. They may take a while to update their index.
