Plugin conflict with 'Press, News, Events' plugin

I have installed The Events Calendar on a test site and it works very nicely. Unfortunately it conflicts with our press release plugin, ‘Press, News, Events’. What happens is when both are activated and you go to the add new event page, the date field disappears under Event Time & Date. When I deactivate the press release plugin, it reappears.

The other question is that we plan on purchasing the Pro version of The Events Calendar ( we need the iCal feed ), but if I can’t verify that this conflict can be resolved, then I can’t justify the purchase. It’s a catch 22.
