Category not showing, plzz help

  • I have deleted all the posts of my wordpress site. And now it is not even displaying the “Uncategorized” category?

    I post the entries from windows live writer.

    Please help me…:(

  • umm.

    categories only display when there is a post INSIDE the category.
    Thats basic WP stuff : no posts == no category display

    Ok, now here is another problem. I have three categories now:

    1. Uncategorized
    2. Windows Vista
    3. Windows Live

    Problem 1: In the categories heading, it only shows one category i.e. Uncategorized.

    Problem 2: I posted one of the entry in Windows Live category, but it is appearing on Uncategorized category.

    I don’t think something went wrong. Why are these problems occuring. Please, I need help badly.

    You already have the answer from whooami: until there’s a post in the category, the category will NOT show up in your category list on the sidebar. Ever.
