If you know how to fix this, can you help me? Thank you so much ??

    Do you use page-links-to plugin?

Hello. Have you resolved your redirect issue yet? One possible solution is the Speedy Page Redirect plugin:

    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/speedy-page-redirect/

? Choose between permanent (301) and temporary (302) redirects.
? Support for custom post types out of the box.
? Filters for customizing some settings.
    ? Compatible with WP Multisite.
? Fully translatable. Included languages: English, Dutch.

    Good luck!

    Hi,
I have not resolved it yet and have no idea what a page link plugin is. I can create any other Page name and it directs it to what it want it’s just when I use the word Shop for a Page name it redirects it to the homepage.

I will look at that plugin and see if I can figure it out. Thank you.

For example, if I use the word Shoppe for a Page name it shows up what I want. https://www.bluelilydesign.net/shoppe where when I use the word Shop it directs it to the main page. https://www.bluelilydesign.net/shop
I can use any other word and it does what I want, it’s just the word shop is being a pickle. Again, not sure why…

I’m going to download the plugin that was suggested and see if that works. Thank you.

I downloaded the link that was suggested above, activated it and not sure what to do with it now. When you have a minute, if you’re able to help? Thank you.

[Moderator Note: No bumping, thank you.]

Sorry to hear you’re still having issues with this.

Now that you’ve downloaded the plug-in, upload the speedy-page-redirect folder to your /wp-content/plugins/ directory.

Then activate the plugin through the “Plugins” menu in WordPress.

Any other questions please let us know.

Hi Lorbach, thank you. I have downloaded and activated the plugin but it’s still not working. Not sure what I’ve done to where it won’t use the word shop. Maybe I will call the one hosting the website and see if they can help me, thank you again.

Did you have a chance to call your host and get this resolved?

    Thread Starter bluelilydesign

    (@bluelilydesign)

Yes, they said they don’t have anything to do with how WordPress works they are just a host. They can’t go behind the scenes. Not sure why not but oh well. ??

    Thank you for asking.

Go to your admin, and look at pages. choose the home page and see what it’s ‘slug’ is : betcha it’s set as shop!

If not, next place to look is appearance > customize. Check the front page is set to be whatever static page you want people to land on when they type in your URL.

Thank you for your help. Last night I deactivated a few plugins and it just started working late last night. It must have been one of those. So, for now, it’s working. I appreciate your help Lorback and wiresplus! Thank you! ??
