Social Connect FB Not Working

  • I had this error, too.
    In my case, it was caused by my not having specified my website’s URL within Facebook ( https://developers.facebook.com ) for the “app” I had to “create” in order to obtain my “application ID” and “app secret” numbers.

    (I use “app” and “create” loosely, since I only registered as a FB developer and created an app on facebook in order to get the “application ID” and “app secret” numbers that this plugin requires to work. I hope this makes sense to you)

    As far as I can tell (with my almost zero knowledge of this plugin and facebook app development in general), it’s Facebook’s end and not the plugin that was causing my issue, hopefully it turns out the same for you (or for anyone else who is struggling to get this plugin to work for Facebook and has just spent two hours googling for help)
