Unable to read uploaded media file using ftp

  • I tried to upload a mp3 file onto my wordpress site using wordpress 3.8.1. but failed due to 2MB restriction. I tried to upload using ftp. However, it could not be read by wordpress backend platform.

    Would you please advise how to fix so that I could access the uploaded mp3 file?
