I changed the colors and it works and looks great on my Windows 8 laptop (IE10) with one exception, when I add a header and have it be 1600 wide, it doesnt quite reach over to the side and a bit of white is still visible for some reason. Is there anyway to make the header reach all the way over or make that white area the same color as the background or contrast color?

On my phone 5S, it looks great.
In google, chrome it looks great.
    In firefox, it looks great.

The only other issue is my work computer which uses IE8, I noticed that it is not right. If I try to use the featured posts in grid format, I see the original black around the title of hte posts. If I take them away, still see the black vertical bar between the left bar and the center. Also if you scroll down, the area at the bottom after there is no more widgets on the left bar is also black.

Can you provide a link to the site with the header issue so that I can try to debug that issue? It shouldn’t be able to be more that 1260px wide, and there definitely shouldn’t be any white there, it would be the background color.

I’ll look at IE8 soon, but Twenty Fourteen itself only provides “functional” fixes for IE8, so I’m not sure whether that can be solved.

Basic fix for IE8 colors added in https://plugins.trac.www.ads-software.com/changeset/872118/fourteen-colors. Please note that there is no good reason to continue using IE8 once Windows XP reaches EOL in less than one month, so usage should drop considerably soon.
