• After doing an install of WP 2.0.4 I cannot get the visual rich editor (tinymce) working. I have set the option to always use the rich editor, but all I get is quicktags.

And yes, in my profile rich editor is also checked.

    Any hints?

  • Lucky you – I never use it.

    Tried re-installing the editor?

Are you sure, you uploaded ALL of the files for it too? Maybe something through this thread *might* help.

Editor not working properly after upgrade 2.2.2

I loaded a page created with 2.2.1 and the formatting was shot to pieces. It contains

    • code that I added in the editor and it worked perfectly until upgraded. When I loaded the page into the Editor, changes wouldn’t take and the screen doesn’t seem to refresh properly.
    • The only solution was to delete the stuff that wouldn’t format correctly.

The editor is really messed up! I can’t insert links either and there seems to be some kind of problem with my offline editor Marsedit.

Tinymce seems to be stripping out carriage returns as text I paste gets turned into one, big paragraph!

I’ve checked the uploaded directory and it all seems to have been uploaded when I upgraded to 2.2.2

Since upgrading to 2.2.2 I’m having all kinds of problems with the built-in editor, then reading the advice here that it might a plugin conflict I tried to deactivate all the plugins and got these messages:

Warning: fopen(): URL file-access is disabled in the server configuration in /www/business/5382/wp-content/plugins/enzymes/enzymes-1.2.php on line 217

Warning: fopen(https://mondotondo.com/aercolino/count/enzymes/1.2/deactivate/empty.txt): failed to open stream: no suitable wrapper could be found in /www/business/5382/wp-content/plugins/enzymes/enzymes-1.2.php on line 217

PS: I notice that when I put the cursor over the commands at the top of the edit window, instead of seeing for example, Link, I see a javascript message.

Also, deactivating all the plugins made no difference.
