Redirect index page to another web page

  • Hi, i am new to wordpress, recentely i installed wordpress on my webserver for blog purpose. It creates index.php file as the main file and blogging as domain.com/blog now i want to redirect or overwrite index.php file to my custom index file but the domain.com/blog could not effected. any suggestions.. plz help me..

    you have example.com and want move to example.com/blog??

    if that maybe you can try go to setting menu > WordPress Address (URL)/ Site Address (URL) to change the path.. and after that move your main wp to blog..

    did you try to set the frontpage from WP>Settings>Reading?
