Jetpack Comments Timing Out And Closing Connection

We use Jetpack Comments on WPTavern.com and for the past week or so, I’ve received a number of reports from people trying to submit comments that the comment form is timing out or simply showing an error that the connection was closed to the server. This screenshot sent to me by a read illustrates the problem.

I don’t know how to reproduce the problem or what’s going on other than it’s been happening more frequently within the past week.
