    Hi,

I’m experiencing problems with Spam destroyer and BP 1.9 (in two sites, with WordPress 3.7.1 and 3.8) in a multisite enviroment.

    Context:

I have reproduced the problem activating only Buddypress and Spam destroyer so, if I’m not wrong, it is not related to compatibility issues with other plugins.

I have also used 2 different themes to discard issues related to theme compatibility.

    Description:

If a registered user who is logged in wants to create a personal blog via the buddypress menu My sites >> Create a site! he/she will receive this php message:

Warning: extract() expects parameter 1 to be array, null given in [MY-WEBSITE-DIRECTORY]/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-blogs/bp-blogs-template.php on line 1034

Fatal error: Call to a member function get_error_code() on a non-object in [MY-WEBSITE-DIRECTORY]/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-blogs/bp-blogs-template.php on line 1036

    Any idea?

    Thank you,

That looks more like an internal error within BuddyPress than a problem relating to the Spam Destroyer plugin.

Is it possible you are using one of the test versions of the plugin which I hosted on my website and listed as being designed with BuddyPress in mind? Those are buggy and I’ve dropped development of them until I work out what went wrong with them. The stable one here on www.ads-software.com should work just fine though, albeit it only handles comment spam.

(Wow, that was a really quick answer)

    Hi Ryan,

I’m using the version 1.3.2 of Spam destroyer.

Actually, the problem has only appeared when I updated Buddypress. In another site with an old version of BP there are not problems with your plugin so… I think you are right. It looks like a BP problem ??

Well, then I’m in troubles because your plugin has revealed as the only effective option to stop the spam accounts in Buddypress.

I will post this at the BP forum.

    Thanks Ryan.

Hmmm, that’s not good if my plugin isn’t working with the new version of BuddyPress ?? I’m a little busy right now, but I’ll try to get to this at some point and test it out.

I’ll also be interested when this is working with WordPress 3.8.1 & BuddyPress 1.9.2.

I have a manual registration approval system so I’m only interested in preventing spam from registering.
