Smilies

  • Anyone know how you can turn a smilies section where you can add the smilies by clicking on them (like forum scripts)? Or does wp not have that yet?

    Actually, can someone give me a list of all of the smilies and their syntax?

    Try taking a look at the wp-config-extra.php file in your wordpress folder. Check out the syntax on how to add your own smilies to the existing list. Hope this helps.

    The zip file has a readme.txt Please read that. Clicking on the smiley you want will insert the code in the post automatically.

    If anyone wants to add or change smilies in WP 1.2, they’re defined in /wp-includes/vars.php. There isn’t a wp-config-extra.php file any more. The images themselves are in /images/smilies/

    Thank you for that information!! I was looking around and wondering if it was something php-internal and I’d never be able to disable some of the smilies *bows low*
