Sitemap Generator by Arne Brachhold Issue

  • I installed Sitemap Generator 2.7.1 by Arne Brachhold. The way I understand the docs, if I change the settings to output the sitemap.xml to my root directory, it will map all the pages of my site (not just the blog).

    I made that change in the Options, but the generated Sitemap still contains only my blog. Did I misunderstand what this plugin can do?

    Is anyone using Arne’s Sitemap Generator? On his site he says to post here for help with it.

    I use the plugin. Is the rest of your site created outside of WP? Like HTML etc?

    I believe there is an area in the plugin’s options where you can enter any number of URL’s that you want included. I only entered 1 URL there, for my homepage.

    Did I misunderstand what this plugin can do?

    Yes. It cannot automagically map out the rest of your site. You can feed it static URLs manually, but it only automatically maps out the blog itself.

    Yes, the rest of my site is html outside of WP. I think I understand now, I will just let it take care of the sitemap for WP.
