Appearance/Customize/Layout not working

Hi,
I made a Child-theme of Unique on my server and it worked great!
Now that I have uploaded my child theme, I cannot get the chosen layout to stay.

When I go to into Appearance/Customize/Layout and set the layout to “Two Columns, Left”, save it, then go to view it, the setting is not saved and it appears as one column.

I changed the theme to the original Unique and I can not get it to save the layout in there either (so atleast my child-theme did not cause this problem, yay!).
