I’m trying to use the existing server with no change to the directory with the installation. It’s not a migration. I just want to change the HOME URL in the database; something that’s very simple in the documentation.

Having looked a little further I’m beginning to wonder if it’s an htaccess problem; but that’s an area where I have very little knowledge. The server had been set up with the domain added and name servers are correct; all works well except changing the HOME URL to the domain name yields the internal server error. Stonesled.com is the domain, and it brings up the index URL, but not the internal files which, I think, should be handled by changing the HOME URL.
