  • Hi The Night Fox,

There is a bug here with description handling, as has been covered in the forums here, and it will be fixed in the next release.

Thanks for getting back to me, I’m also having the same issue when trying to edit an open graph title. When can we expect the next update?

Hopefully this week; what problem are you having with the title? I’d suggest testing that page with the Facebook Debugger and see what it says.

    I’m getting the following error:

    Errors that must be fixed
More Than One OG URL Specified

Object at URL ‘https://www.viralpenguin.com/stories/test-title-2a/’ of type ‘article’ is invalid because it specifies multiple ‘og:url’ values: https://www.viralpenguin.com/stories/test-title-2a/, https://www.viralpenguin.com/stories/test-title-2a/.

    Hi The Night Fox,

That’s because you’re using another plugin that is also outputting its own OpenGraph tags; I’d suggest that you not do this. That plugin is “WordPress Facebook Open Graph protocol plugin”.

Hi Peter, thanks for getting back to me. I notice that if I change the header or the description under the social settings tab that I have to run the url through the facebook debugger before the changes take effect. Is this normal?

    Hi The Night Fox,

Yes, that sounds about right; Facebook doesn’t check your pages all the time, but looking at a page in the Debugger does seem to force it to refresh its information.
