I am creating a new website. Have managed to get my home page showing as my home page (it used to show my blog posts) but now the page or Menu bit that I had set aside for my blog posts is ALSO showing my home page.

I therefore have no idea where my blog posts are (on the front of the website).

Can I have a static home page and then a blog somewhere else and if so how do I work this?

Sorry for the untechnical language – sorry if unclear! These things flummox me completely.

    Thanks in advance

    Hey there,

This can be fixed by going to your “Reading” settings of the dashboard. But first, be sure to add a new page and call it “Blog” The permalink should then be yourdomain.com/blog

After you have published this new page with no content, go to your reading settings. There you can select the page you want your homepage to be (the static page) and then for your blog posts select “Blog” from the dropdown menu. Hope this helps

Let me know if you have more questions!

Hey, there! Can you post a link to your website? It’s a lot easier to understand if I can see what’s going on (sorry… visual thinker here… ?? :D)
