• Hello, first thank you for the Bold Headline theme it is great.
I logged in the other day and I found the font for my headers isn’t the same as the Bold Headline font which is great. I don’t know how to change it back to original. I use a macbook pro and everything is up to date.
    Best wishes

  • Fonts that are not installed or embedded into the site can look different on different machines if that specific font is not installed. That’s why it is best to use a font family when adding fonts in CSS. Bold Headline states in the style.css header that it uses Lato and Playfair Display from a href=”https://www.google.com/fonts”>Google Web fonts. Go to https://www.google.com/fonts, search for those fonts and click “Add to Collection”. At the bottom, you should see the bar for collections. On the far right of that bar is the ‘Use’ button. Check the versions you want. Google fonts has a neat feature that lets you know how much these fonts will slow down your site. Because these fonts have a lot of of versions, you might want to pick and choose which ones you want.

After you have them selected, scrolling down will get you the html link code which you will need to input into the head tag of each php page. Then you can use the font family css below that to incorporate it into the CSS (which is already there, the fonts just need to be embedded).

Let me know if you need any more help with this.

Adriano, the fonts supplied with the theme should be available and there’s no need to do the steps outlined by @lizwinterborne

Perhaps changes were made to your theme? If you can supply a link to your site, I can have a look.

Thank you for the fast response and help from both of you. I definately didn’t change the font to the headers as the type is one of the things which attracted me the Bold Headline theme. Here is a link to my site. https://www.rossettiinc.com

One more thing, the type font used for the content has changed too.
    Many thanks

Looks like the font from Google isn’t loading.
Can you try and deactivate all of your plugins?
One of them is causing issue I think.

Hello, yes it was one of the plugins causing the conflict: AIO Cache STANDARD. I have just de-activated it and contacted the author letting him know the issue. Hopefully this is the correct protocol as I am a bit of a newby at this stuff.
Thank you Liz and Christine for your support.

Thanks for letting me know Rossetti.. I’ll play around with the theme and see if I need to adjust anything to make this work.

I never use a cache plugin myself, you I’ve heard good things about Super Cache
    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-super-cache/
and the developers behind that plugin are stellar.

I just installed the plugin and there’s lots of errors:

I tried to look and see if I could make changes to my theme, but can’t think of anything… Sorry
