Image is full size but when linked to is shrunken down by wordpress

Hello,

I have uploaded an image that is 1920×897. When I check the size in the media section it says this is the size. However when I link to it, wordpress sizes it down to a width of 1024. I have changed the settings under large media to 1920×1080. Why is the direct link getting changed to a width of 1024? Is it a setting in the theme perhaps? I’m using the Destro theme for my blog. I’m trying to include a thumbnail in a post and have users click the image and see the full size image, not a shrunken down image with a width of 1024.
