I have the rather popular Avada theme, but I am not using UberMenu, There is a reference in the Avada theme menu to “Mega Menu”, but I am not sure what it is referring to since it must be built in. Your plugin does not work, so do you think it is the same issue as UberMenu, or is there a fix?

    Thanks

Please see: I don’t see the Nav Menu Roles options in the admin menu items? in the FAQ.

UberMenu is just an example of a known conflict and in no way is meant to imply that it is the only theme/plugin that will conflict with Nav Menu Roles. You can confirm it is the theme by switching to a default theme. As stated in the FAQ, there is no solution until WordPress core is updated and hooks are added in the admin area.

Oh I see. I tried a different theme and the options became available. That’s too bad.

It is too bad, I agree. If you don’t need what the Avada theme is doing you can possibly figure out a way to disable their custom Walker. In theory, you should be able to remove their filter from the wp_edit_nav_menu_walker hook.

The Avada theme actually works perfect for me. The menu is very robust in a responsive way.

Hopefully WordPress releases a fix soon.

The trac ticket is 2 years old, so it doesn’t seem to be moving too quickly.

    Hi,

Is there any solution for this issue? I am using Avada theme as well.

As stated in the FAQ, there is no solution until WordPress core is updated and hooks are added in the admin area.

Now Avada 3.4 is out. There is Megamenu included. Nav menu roles is unvisible. When I use a standard theme like twentytwelve, I can work with nav menu roles. When I change to avada, navmenuroles continues to work but it is unvisible. this is no good to work. how can I make navmenuroles visible?

I repeat, as stated in the FAQ, there is no solution until WordPress core is updated and hooks are added in the admin area.

You cannot have 2 admin menu Walkers.

In order to get the plugin working with the AVADA theme you need to disable both the themes Mega Menu in the ‘Extra’ Options and Uber Menu. Works perfectly now!

    Thanks for sharing your solution.

For everyone using Avada, version 3.5.1 (available now at ThemeForest) should be compatible with Nav Menu Roles.

I confirm that with the new version of Avada the plugin run perfectly!

Hello, I’m using Avada 3.5.3 and it is in fact, but I’m still getting the notice that reads:

Nav Menu Roles has detected a possible conflict with the following functions or classes: FusionMegaMenu. Please see the FAQ for more information and possible resolution.

Is there a way I can deactivate this notice from showing?

If you are using version 1.6 of NMR you should be able to dismiss the nag notice by clicking on “Hide Notice”. Is that not removing the notice?
