Admin not receiving emails

I had a small problem a few weeks back when I accidentally deleted the admin account. I have created a new account now to the same email address but it is not receiving the emails anymore when ever a post is sent like the old user. The new account is on the Registered Subscribers list. I do receive the emails if the admin is the author but if someone else is the author I get none. Any ideas?
