I disabled ALL plugins, aside from Events

    And I switched to 2014.

I still got the same error.

Second that. When I updated my wordpress version this plugin stopped working correctly.

I had a similar problem with new Single event URL slug not working. Saving the settings twice worked.

    Hi jojomanzo,

Are you still hitting problems here? If so, please try the following steps:

    • Deactivate all other plugins
    • Ensure The Events Calendar is up-to-date
    • Switch to a default, unmodified theme such as Twenty Twelve
    • Visit the Settings → Permalinks admin screen (you don’t need to change anything, just visiting this page potentially clears out any expired rewrite rules)

Does that resolve the problem? If so, on reactivating everything else, are you able to isolate a conflict with any other plugins or perhaps your theme?

    (@servantez)

Steps above do not solve the problem. All the events are there in the admin panel, I can edit them. But even when I click the SHOW EVENT button right from the admin panel it comes up with a 404 error

I would like to export my events just to reinstall the plugin…

Ok, what I found out is that the callendar works when I switch to the default permalink structure. Does not work with any other.

I got the same problem, adding the date for the event after url shows the event, ie.

    https://domain.com/event/event-url-here < Don’t work
    https://domain.com/event/event-url-here/year-month-day < Works

    EDIT:

Changing to twenty twelve and then visiting permlinks the event page works.
But when changing back to custom theme breaks urls again.

    Personal fix.

It was a register_post_type in theme function that was the problem.

Came here to post about similar problem. Saving permalinks (didn’t change anything, just clicked save) did the trick.

Have only been playing with the plugin for a couple of hours but very slick. Love it.

    Howdy servantez,

Did [email protected]’ fix work for you? To be clear, you go to settings > Permalinks and click “Save”.

If that didn’t work, what about trying something similar to prinf? First of all, try adding /year-month-day/ to the end of a URL and seeing if that fixes it. If not, what about activating the defaul 2013 theme? How about disabling all plugins except Tribe ones?

Thank you for the info Prinf & James. Very helpful.

    Hi, brook-tribe, no problem.

The comapany that made the coding before me, added a “register_post_type“, in function file, after some googeling i noticed that ppl had problems with permlinks and reg post type, it turned out that I only had to move the “register_post_type” in to a function and load it using add_action( ‘init’,

saving settings for permalinks did not work for me and neither did adding /year-month-day/ to the end of the URL. I would like to try Prinf work around “register_post_type”, but I’m afraid I need a little more information. I am not a coder. Which file can I find this in and exactly how do you move the “register_post_type” into a function and load it using add_action(‘init’, ? Any help would be appreciated. Wondering if a permanent fix (update) is going to be available?

    (@cash3p)

Switching back to default permalinks didn’t fix the issue either. Probably the template, but it worked just fine before latest WP update.

    Any fixes for this?
I’m experiencing exactly the same problem.
Tried everything: switching permalink settings, registering post_type and all.
    No luck so far.
