I’m trying to get my basic album view to be the same as my basic gallery view. I’m not sure why the album view is so different to design of the basic gallery view. other than few little things they are basically showing in the same layout

Most importantly I need to be able to paginate by same number_of_columns field as the gallery view does. This use $number_of_columns to get that value but I cannot work out how I obtain for the album view.

What are we suppose to do if we have had no response. Quite possible as it’s been lost under the myriad of other questions post since.

Not here to break any rules would just like re emphasise the issue incase someone may have an answer, or is the answer that there is no way

@locka – You will most likely need to build a custom template for the album layout you are looking to accomplish. See this page for more information about custom templates: https://www.nextgen-gallery.com/templates/

    Thanks!

thanks cais that i understand what I can’t seem to work out is how to read the number_of_columns field field and why that is only used when building galleries and albums use old nextgen way which is just wrap around to the next line.

currently I having to manually code in the number of columns I’ve no idea how to read this value in. That’s the piece of magic I missing.

All help is much appreciated and thanks again for all the hard work you guys & girls are putting into this product.

Not really resolved, Since no one was able or willing to explain how I read that field. Can’t wait for ever so I gave up with that idea change the whole design.
