Comments: after upgrade have lost ability to comment

  • Hi there –

    I upgraded to the latest version of wordpress.

    I’ve lost the ability to post a comment and access the comments functions, it seems. Error can be seen on https://benjaminyeoh.com

    I also get this error

    WordPress database error: [You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ” at line 1]
    SELECT COUNT(DISTINCT ID) FROM

    I suspect I need to fix something in the SQL database, but I am unsure what and how.

    The comments do seem to exist as I can see them in my side bar but can’t click through to access them.

    Any clever or knowledgable person can help? I’ve tried looking through the forum but can’t quite see the same problem. If someone knows if this topic has been answered perhaps you could point me to a link as well.
