Try adding a wp_reset_query() after the blog loop.

I ended up deactivating the plugin and using this tutorial from WP Sites to change the menu on the blog page https://wpsites.net/web-design/change-primary-nav-menu-for-specific-pages-in-any-theme/

I’ll keep the reset in mind for the future though, I’m sure this plugin will come in handy on another project.
