google snippets

  • Hello,
    I am experiencing some troubles trying to set the snippets for my website on google. The deault title that is listed first on the search results is an ugly:

    My Name | My Name PhotographyMyName…

    I cannot find a way to change it. I tried to go under settings and change site title and tagline, it doesn’t work. I tried to write a different title under SEO Title and Metas page, in the Home menu, it doesn’t work either. I tried to change the Post types, also no solution.
    I am using a Graph Paper Press theme, the Albedo one.
    Is it because goggle takes its time to change the title and rank first the one I want to modify? Or is it because since I am still setting up everything and my website is quite empty goggle will pick at ramdom?
    I don’t know if I doing right to try to fix this title thing at the beginning of site construction but I don’t want to have to fix this after I put much work in everything else.

    I forgot to add that once signing up I put somewhere the word photography, so it turn out. But have no idea how to customize this first snippet
