    HI,
Themes set all of these things on their own, and we do not have any themes out yet, except for a sample theme to use as instruction.

    Hi,
ok, but i’ve no cover content on the post page : img link is just the post link and cover title is empty… so i’ve an empty white space of the height of the screen.

Ah, i understand that i shouldn’t use your demo theme to get full content ? But better have to use another one and tweak it for aesop to work with it?

Yes the sample theme that is out is meant to be built on. Set a featured image for the theme.

Ok. So as I said i’ve no “featured image” box on the edit post page. I tried on another wp 3.8.1 wpmu and a third one single wp same version. Same problem. When i change theme the “featured image” box comes back…

OK but this has nothing to do with the story engine at all. The theme provides this. You are welcome to post a topic in the sample theme repo but it’s a free, demo theme, provided as is.

OK I’m closing this thread but if you need anything else just let me know!

Ok thanks. I’ll try the base wp theme and see if all is ok. Best.

    Hi.
I kind of resolved the same issue.
In the sample theme, functions.php contains a single function “class ASTFunctions” that is supposed to call “add_theme_support( ‘post-thumbnails’ );” that is the function that make the featured image selector viewable in the post / page admin.
    It didn’t work.
So I moved add_theme_support( ‘post-thumbnails’ ); outside the class ASTFunctions.
    Now it works.
I have to guess that class ASTFunctions is somehow buggy, but can’t figure out why, since I’m not a developer ??
    Hope that helps.
    Bests

The free sample theme was updated long ago to fix this bug.

Hi Nick and thanks for your quick answer. Actually I didn’t manage to notice the update (same version number). It works. Thanks again.
    EDIT : read further

Hi Nick and thanks for your quick answer. Actually I didn’t manage to notice the update (same version number).
So I just replaced my previous version of Aesop Sample Theme by the corrected one and… the site doesn’t work anymore ?? Blank pages and posts. I’m aware the sample theme is not supported. Anyway, if you previously met this behavior, I’d be glad to have a trick shared.

The last change was made via a pull request and seems to work for them. Did you happen to change teh folder name or anything?

Hi Nick. Thanks for your commitment.
No changed the folder name. Just erased the previous, then uploaded the just unzipped new one.

    Weird:
    this post works:
    https://emmroques.com/wordpress/road-movie/
    this one, doesn’t:
    https://emmroques.com/wordpress/forces-naturelles/
neither does the page designed as home, that contains only a featured image and a [aesop_collection]:
    https://emmroques.com/wordpress/emmanuelle_roques

    Any help?
    Thanks.

I can say that you need to set a featured image. You also have a TON of files that are 404.
