Proceed to Check – Returning Customer – Broken

    Hello again!

    WordPress 3.8.1
    WooCommerce 2.0.20

    When I click proceed to checkout instead of being greeted by the New Account creation form (Billing & Shipping) I am greeted by the Returning Customer form????

    I have tried deleting cookies
    I have tried browsing in private/incognito mode
    I even downloaded the Opera browser

    On all 5 of the major browsers its the same result.
    i.e Chrome, IE, FireFox, Safari & Opera.

    I tried a different laptop and an iPad. Same result.
    My brother tried from his house. Same result.

    I looked at the checkout page and its not be modified in any way. With just 1 original version since the day it was created.

    The page simply holds the shortcode [woocommerce_checkout]

    The message says

    “If you have shopped with us before, please enter your details in the boxes below. If you are a new customer please proceed to the Billing & Shipping section.”

    How does a user get to the Billing & Shipping Section??? There is no link.

    Can anyone please help???

    I am going to upgrade to 2.1.5 to see if that fixes it.

    No upgrading to 2.1.5 made no difference

    How does a new customer place an order without WooCommerce wrongly assuming the are an existing customer?

    Can anyone help?

    WooCommerce –> Checkout –> Enable Guest Checkout

    Without that ticked, customers need to be logged in.

    If memory serves, with Enable Guest Checkout ticked, that still leaves the box for customer account login. If you want to remove that all together, because you don’t use customer account logins, please post a link to your site. I tried finding the code I used, but too many lines of custom code to go through.

    @charlyibc That’s the desired intention. Guest Checkout is an addition to Customer Logins, not an alternative.

    @charlyibc I am really glad you mentioned that as it raises another issue, I will open a new post so as to not break the forum rule of 1 post = 1 topic. I always get shouted at by the Moderators! ??
