Then go in there and create a new child theme function.php
and then add my old code before i started messing aorund this morning?

I suggest you to proceed step by step.
Start with renaming your child theme functions.php in something like functions.php.bak. And see what happens

I can’t believe that just by changing the child theme function.php would destroy everything.

What about this backup file i created and now downloading.
I don’t have access to the admin page.
I will read that page, but im ready to just take the whole thing down and start from scratch

I don’t think that changing the functions.php of your child theme with the snippet to have sliders in category pages has destroyed everything.
Something else happened.

It appears that the servers have a know issue this morning. My luck.

Yeah, let me know. I told you that was unlikely that changes in child theme functions.php could be the reason of that down.

@d4z_c0nf I guess this appeared when I upgraded yesterday which is at the same time the server was patching the Db. I deleted the child theme and created a new one.
So I am starting all over and now going to go try to “certain category posts on a certain page” as opposed to me trying to do the archive cataloger thing.
