Add media to local installation. Ownership question

    Fresh user of WordPress! Really impressing! I have one beginners question:

    I am using WordPress locally on my Mac (OS: 10.9.2) with Apache 2.2.26 and MySQL-Server 5.6.11

    My Root-Folder is Library/WebServer/Documents/ with permissions set to root::wheel

    Working on Safari as User mstep there is obviously a problem, adding media (I tried to add a photo):

    Unable to create directory wp-content/uploads/2014/03. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

    I changed the ownership of my wp-content and upload folder, /Library/WebServer/Documents/wordpress/wp-content/uploads to mstep. But this does not help.

    Someone could help me out? Thank you and best greetings from sunny Munich
