Add template code to post?

To enact a unique control scheme I’d like to be able to put template tags into the the body of a post. Example – I want to make the image included in a post to link to the next post available.

When I drop in “<?php next_post(); ?>” as a hyperlink nothing happens? Can I include template tags in the body of a post and how?
