More tag with boxes

Hello,
I love the functionality of this plugin.
I’m using the standout color boxes and I’m having some trouble. I added the short code [color-box]along with some text[/color-box]which works, but if I want to add the more tag within the text, for example [color-box] along with some text then within the text <!–more–> more text then close [/color-box]. The box does not wrap around the text anymore. The text falls out of the box. leaving the backdrop of the text empty
Can you please share some thoughts as to what I’m missing.
