Possible to use other post types

  • Hi,

    I know that several post type(=roles) is existed with the plugin (lable0 = subscriber, label1-4 = other adv. type). I just wonder if it’s possible to use other post type than the pre-defined types?

    If yes, How can I couple with roles like: team-leader, team-member, tester etc…

  • It’s certainly possible to use s2member with custom post types. I’m currently using it on one site to protect about ten different CPTs as well as regular posts.

    s2member sees all post types automatically because it uses the same hooks that developers use when they create CPTs. So, whether you want to protect all post types in one way, or to treat different categories differently, and/or to have individual exceptions for specific posts, s2member can do that comfortably.

    So far as different roles are concerned, you can achieve what you want in a couple of different ways. One way is simply to use the levels available (which you can re-name if you prefer). The free version is limited to one free and up to four other levels; the Pro version has unlimited levels.

    The other way is to add specific custom capabilities to a level to create a new role in addition to the standard levels that s2member provides
